Consultancy services for detailed design and construction supervision for four high yielding boreholes and associated conveyance infrastructures for irrigation and water supply to surrounding areas in Zomba, Machinga, and Neno Districts

EMD Consulting Engineers were commissioned to Prepare feasibility studies, detailed engineering designs and tender documents for 4 solar powered high yielding boreholes: Assess the technical, environmental, social-and economic feasibility of all the borehole sites identified under the project; Prepare preliminary ESIA for 4 solar powered high yielding boreholes; To study the geological conditions and provide advice on the most appropriate drilling methodology and borehole construction methodology in order to construct boreholes which maximize the available yield.; To identify locations for groundwater monitoring in the sites under the project; to prepare climatic resilient detailed design of appropriate conveyance system including storage tanks to support irrigation development and water supply to near communities and design the irrigation schemes.
